The family gathers before the start of the 2010 Kentucky Derby Festival Mini-Marathon.
It's raining, and not very light outside yet. Linda, Patti, and Laura are psyched about running another race in wet shoes!
Linda and Laura's hairdresser, Beth, finds us hanging out before the start.
One last shot of the racers before they go their separate ways...Linda and Dean into the fast-folk corral; Laura into the slightly slower folk corral, and Patti into the black hole that is the porta-potty line.

Patti has finally emerged from the bathroom line and has entered the long queue of walkers making their way to the starting line. She'll have to spend her first two miles trying to get past all of them!
Patti is still feeling strong after six miles, Yahoo!
Laura and Patti display their finishers' medals. Lane and Jeane have been magnificent supporters, cheering us on from different points along the course.
